Job Description

Do you have talent for and desire to ensure tests of high quality? Then you might be our new Senior Laboratory Engineer at Danfoss Sensing Solutions R&D laboratory. We are a team of 8 dedicated and skilled laboratory technicians and engineers who – with great product knowledge and metrological experience – test and measure pressure, temperature, and gas detection sensors.

Danfoss Sensing Solutions is on an ambitious growth journey and is expanding the portfolio with new sensor types. The R&D laboratory will be deeply involved in developing tests and release procedures for existing and new sensor types.

You will become part of a team that highly values open and honest communication, prioritizes teamwork in problem-solving, and fosters a positive team spirit with plenty of room for laughter and personal growth.

The position is onsite in Nordborg, Denmark.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Senior Laboratory Engineer, you will take part in both small and large projects. You will have a key role coordinating actions between R&D and the laboratory, as well as creating and cultivating good relations with stakeholders.

Together with the team you will perform all kinds of tests for Danfoss Sensing Solutions, which includes performance test, reliability test, complaint analysis, competitor product analysis etc. We perform tests both in-house and in close collaboration with external laboratories.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with R&D to develop new test methods and test equipment for pressure and gas detection sensors.
  • Serving as our expert in electrical testing and failure analysis.
  • Planning and executing tests in the laboratory, both theoretically and practically.
  • Participating in the release testing of new products and sensor types.
  • Coordinating tests with external test facilities and partners.
  • Working closely with internal customers on specifications, tests, and data analysis.
  • Specifying and purchasing laboratory equipment.

At Danfoss, we believe that a diverse and inclusive workplace fosters creativity, innovation, and a broader perspective in decision-making. When you consider this job posting, do you feel like your profile is not a perfect match? Even if you do not check all the boxes, we encourage you to apply anyway. We are curious to find out how you can bring new insights to the role or to Danfoss as an organization.

Background & Skills

You are a team player with excellent organizational and analytical skills. Self-driven and committed to quality, you naturally strive to complete tasks efficiently. We anticipate you to be a creative problem solver with technical expertise and an open mindset, capable of transforming R&D concepts into practical tests.

Moreover, you are a strong communicator, and you have a talent for cooperating with different stakeholders. You should thrive working with different cultures, mindsets, backgrounds and in a fast-paced environment. Not two days are the same in the laboratory.

Additionally, you possess or can demonstrate:

  • A relevant background, such as bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years of technical experience.
  • Extensive experience with test execution and measurement system analysis (MSA).
  • Competency in data analysis and evaluation, particularly utilizing tools like Python, to assess data quality.
  • Familiarity with sensor qualification is highly beneficial.
  • Strong IT proficiency and a willingness to quickly grasp new IT programs.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English; knowledge of Danish is advantage.
