Job Description
Do you understand the synergies between production planning and production execution, and does it motivate you to create an overview and ensure an optimal flow and settlement in production?
Then you might be our new Production Planner at Danfoss Climate Solutions. You will report directly to the Factory Supply Chain Manager and will join our team in Nordborg.
As a production planner your main focus will be to secure that orders are delivered to our customers according to requested demand while maintaining inventories at optimum levels.
You will plan production to secure an optimal flow and resource utilization. You will coordinate with Inbound Logistics to ensure raw materials and stay in dialogue with Customer Service and Fulfillment about urgent orders and allocation.
Additionally, you will control stocks for semi-finished and finished goods, release planned orders and follow up on finished goods. You will ensure information flow regarding production planning level, changes in demand relevant for supplier collaboration and development and coordinate with Sales and Operations Planning to secure right alignment between production plans and demand plans.
Other areas of responsibility will be to:
- Evaluate the sales pattern and take actions when needed
- Release planned production orders and following up on the daily production output
- Enable production to manufacture with optimal productivity, right manning and deliver orders on time
- Production load leveling, prioritization of production orders
- Monitor Global Sales and Global Availability & Reliability to make sure that sales orders are confirmed/delivered as requested and find root causes to deviations together with relevant stakeholders
You hold a relevant educational background, such as an Office Trainee, an Academy Profession (AP) degree, or a higher-level education, combined with knowledge of logistics/supply chain management. You may have some years of experience in a similar role or be a recent graduate. Preferably, you have experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
On a more personal level, you have an outgoing and positive attitude, and you have a positive will to succeed. You have high skills within communication, organization, analysis and you are proactive, structured and able to prioritize and manage time while maintaining the ability to overlook several processes simultaneously without losing focus.
You are able to work effectively and willing to improve the processes to ensure that the activities you support are completed with satisfaction. You respect and understand the business needs and take these into consideration in every decision. Last but not least, you are fluent in spoken and written English and Danish.
