Danfoss EDITRON is currently looking for a Software Engineer to lead modification and improvement (PMI) tasks for our On-Board Charger within our On-Highway business.

We are expanding our Operations organization in Nordborg by establishing a PMI team consisting of Mechanical, Electronic, and Software Engineers, where you also will collaborate with other functional areas globally.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as PMI Engineer within the EDITRON On-Highway Business unit, you will be the responsible of product modifications and improvements of software for electric vehicle components. You will execute product engineering changes related to software and facilitates changes in cooperation our remotely located R&D and Engineering teams.

Furthermore, responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Designs software changes for customer specific feature requests.
  • Plan & prioritize PMI activities and customer request activities.
  • Facilitate the Engineering support function in the Change Control process (Team Center)
  • Verifying the accuracy of product changes on software features prepared by other team members before implementation in production.
  • Evaluating effort and profitability of customer-specific requests on modifications or new features on existing product.

Background & Skills

To succeed in this position, you hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. You likely have some years’ experience from a similar role, acquiring a solid understanding of software design and development.

You have excellent communication and organizational skills and are familiar with working in an environment that utilizes agile methods. You have the ability to grasp the overall scenario as well as the smallest details, facilitated by your solid analytical and solution-oriented skills. 

On a more personal level, you possess a holistic overview that you can tap into and utilize even under pressure. This ability allows you to work on different aspects simultaneously in a persistent and goal-oriented manner. You have an open-minded approach, are a good team player, and enjoy collaborating across borders and cultures. 

Furthermore, you communicate effectively in both written and spoken English, as we operate in a global company.
