Danfoss EDITRON is currently looking for an Electronics Engineer to lead modification and improvement (PMI) tasks for our On-Board Charger within our On-Highway business.

Job Responsibilities

As the go-to person for electronics-related issues concerning our On-Board Charger, your responsibilities will include addressing production-related concerns alongside our Manufacturing Engineering Team, as well as assisting the Quality Team with more complex cases.

Given that the design work is for automotive applications, experience in automotive electronics release is advantageous. DFMEA, PFMEA, DFM, and DFA work are standard daily activities.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:  

  • Plan and prioritizing PMI activities and customer request activities.
  • Implementing changes to previously released designs based on customer-specific requests
  • Addressing production, sourcing or quality issues, and handle cost down activities.
  • Evaluating effort and profitability of customer-specific requests on modifications or new features on existing product.
  • Verifying the accuracy of product electronics changes prepared by other team members before implementation in production.

Background & Skills

To qualify for this position, you must hold a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronic Engineering. However, relevant work experience will also be considered, especially if you are a skilled electronics technician with a minimum of 5 years of experience troubleshooting electronics or have other relevant engineering experience. Demonstrated proficiency in both analog and digital electronics is essential.

Key competencies and relevant work experience include:

  • Schematic design experience
  • Proficiency in designing PCB layouts
  • Experience working with DFMEAs
  • Collaboration experience with EMS partners
  • Expertise in root cause analysis of electronics
  • Excellent written and spoken English proficiency


Additionally, having experience in conducting EMC tests, particularly in the automotive sector, and possessing extensive expertise in PCB layout is highly advantageous.
