Job Description

Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for a solutions-oriented and experienced NPD Procurement Project Manager to join our business unit Refrigeration & AirConditioning Controls (RAC) in the RAC Procurement Team.

Your actual base of operations will be within an array of cross-functional core teams. As our next NPD Procurement Project Manager, you will work project-oriented and help to deliver the framework for our new product development processes.

You will spearhead and build an excellent platform for involvement of our suppliers from the initial design phase and throughout the complete NPD. You will join a team of experienced colleagues based out of Kolding or Nordborg and be part of the RAC procurement team, reporting to Senior Manager of Procurement in Denmark.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will act as the procurement core team member in NPD projects and be the link between external suppliers and the cross-functional project team consisting of R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Logistics. 

A central responsibility is to ensure that procurement deliverables are met by identifying and mitigating project risks related to supplier cooperation. You handle this independently through timely and excellent stakeholder management, proactive risk assessment and supplier involvement.

Furthermore, your aim is to ensure that the right suppliers are selected for the projects and that the optimal balance between product specification, cost and time to market is obtained, in close cross-functional collaboration with your colleagues and project team.

You will be end to end responsible for procurement related task throughout the entire NPD project.

Background & Skills

The ideal candidate has a background within Electronic Industry procurement combined with a technical or commercial academic degree (BSc. or MSc.). If you have obtained a proven track record within a global company as well as experience working with project-based NPD procurement in a manufacturing environment, that would be considered an advantage.

On a personal note, you are a structured and dedicated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment. You act with a results-oriented mindset. Possessing analytical skills and a systematic approach will be a distinct advantage, along with attention to detail.

Additionally, you should fulfil the following requirements:

  • A good commercial understanding and solid cross-functional business interpretation skills
  • Project management skills and experience in steering and participating in agile project teams
  • Technical flair and understanding of product drawings and electronics components and processes
  • Fluent and comprehensive English skills – both verbal and written
