Job Description

Are you interested in becoming a key member of an international team, developing electronic control devices for embedded systems? Does ensuring product lifetime by continuous design updates appeal to you, then you might be the ideal candidate for our R&D department!

Our team is located in the newly established Danfoss Climate Solutions Electronics Nordborg-Hub, which creates a cross-functional work environment with members from different business. At the same time, we have different functions inside our team, which supports the possibility for easy knowledge sharing and supporting a diverse way of working. 

Our products will be focused on our new developed platform, which will create an interesting way of working with electronics in Danfoss. You will have the opportunity to influence the transition of our existing products into using our platform in the future.

We are located at our Headquarters in Nordborg, where the majority of your working hours will be spent.

Job Responsibilities

Focus on total cost and lifetime for a sustainable and flexible manufacturing.

Your overall mission will be to maintain and develop electronics for embedded systems and support the global development teams in the exciting task to get the products compliant. 

The primary responsibility will be to design both analog, digital circuits and support the global teams in keeping the design suitable in a volatile sourcing and manufacturing environment. You will cooperate closely with your colleagues in designated teams, ensuring that products meet applicable standards and customer requirements.

More specifically, you can look forward to the following responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the high quality of designs to meet specified requirements.
  • Creating detailed design documents outlining steps for EMI/EMC control.
  • Ensuring design compliance with standards such as UL, IPC, DFM, and others.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define specifications for customer-specific products.
  • Offering technical expertise in the validation of microprocessor-based electronic controllers. This includes functional testing, EMI/EMC testing, environmental testing, vibration testing, and other required tests as per established standards and specifications.

Background & Skills

The right candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field, such as electronic engineering or mechatronics engineering.

Furthermore, we are looking for the following skills and qualifications:

  • Experience in Embedded Products Design (Hardware Electronics)
  • Knowledge of power, analogue, mixed signal, and digital design
  • Knowledge of the different certifications regarding EMC/EMI, LVD, RoHS, RED, FCC, UL etc.
  • Efficient debugging and testing skills (signal treatment, EMI/EMC)
  • Knowledge of DFx, PCB layout and simulation tools
  • Proficient in English


At a personal level, you have solid analytical abilities, good communication skills and a positive, open-minded approach. You have team spirit and are able to build relations and cooperate across borders and cultures.
